Cathy Corison is a Napa Valley icon. When she started making wine in the 1980s, she was one of the few women in the cellar. Four decades later, she continues to set the benchmark for elegant, age-worthy Cabernet Sauvignon. Her style has remained consistent—no over-extraction, no heavy oak, just purity, structure, and soul.
The 2020 Napa Valley Cabernet is sourced from benchland vineyards between Rutherford and St. Helena. These old vines produce fruit with depth, freshness, and minerality. The vintage opens with aromas of black cherry, violets, and dried herbs. On the palate, it shows cassis, graphite, and subtle spice, framed by fine-grained tannins and lively acidity. This is a wine that drinks beautifully today but will reward cellaring for a decade or more.
Cathy now works alongside her daughter Grace, keeping the winery independent and family-run. Together, they continue a tradition of quiet excellence. Their wines speak softly but carry a long finish.
We are proud to feature Corison at americanwine.club. Special thanks go to K&U Weinhalle, Corison’s German importer, whose collegial trust makes this rare offering possible.
