The 2021 Blanc de Noirs from Cruse Wine Co. is a rare sparkling wine from Sonoma’s legendary Heintz Vineyard. Planted in 1980, this coastal site west of Sebastopol is famous for its Goldridge soils and cool Pacific influence. These conditions shape fruit with freshness, precision, and mineral tension—qualities that define this wine.
Michael Cruse, one of California’s most exciting winemakers, crafted this cuvée using the traditional Champagne method. Known for his unconventional style, he brings a grower mindset to each release. This wine is dense, savory, and textural. The nose offers notes of strawberry shortbread, sweet tarts, and a touch of reduction. On the palate, you’ll find salinity, weight, and a deep umami finish.
Very few bottles made it across the Atlantic. In fact, most Cruse wines sell out instantly in the U.S., and demand continues to rise. That’s why we’re proud to be the exclusive importer for Europe. This cult favorite is available only through americanwine.club, strictly limited to one bottle per customer.
The nose opens with aromas of strawberry shortbread, sweet tarts, and a subtle reductive note reminiscent of aged Champagne. On the palate, the wine shows serious structure and savory depth—salty, dense, and rich, with a long umami-driven finish. This is not a light, playful sparkler. It’s a wine of presence, rooted in site and intention, made for serious Champagne lovers looking for something distinctive.
Only a handful of cases were made, and even fewer reached European shores. Cruse wines regularly sell out across the U.S., with growing collector demand and limited allocations. americanwine.club is honored to be the exclusive importer of this wine for the European market. Limited to 1 bottle per customer.
