Few estates embody the spirit of American Rhône wines like Tablas Creek Vineyard. Founded in the 1990s by the Perrin family of Château de Beaucastel and Robert Haas, the Paso Robles winery set out to bring authentic Rhône varieties to California. Every vine on the estate traces back to cuttings from Beaucastel, grafted and nurtured in the calcareous soils of the Adelaida District.
Today, Tablas Creek stands as the first certified Regenerative Organic Certified® vineyard in the world. A benchmark for sustainability that goes far beyond organic farming. Their vineyards are a living ecosystem: sheep and alpacas graze between the rows to manage cover crops naturally, enrich the soil, and maintain biodiversity. Chickens and donkeys add their share to pest control and balance. It’s agriculture in harmony, not domination.
For our launch, we’re bringing a curated selection: You’ll discover the depth of their Esprit de Tablas reds (2017–2018), the approachable Côtes de Tablas blends (2018–2019), and the single-varietal Mourvèdre 2019 alongside collector gems like Panoplie 2018. Complementing them are the vibrant whites: Esprit Blanc 2018, Côtes Blanc 2019, and the fresh Patelin Blanc 2020. Together, they capture the full diversity of this pioneering estate: wines that tell the story of soil, climate, and care for the land. We’re proud to be able to feature Tablas at americanwine.club
