The 2024 Semi‑Dry Riesling from Weis Wines brings together delightfully juicy fruit and crisp precision. Grown on the slopes beside Keuka Lake in New York’s Finger Lakes region, this wine was crafted to bridge freshness and texture. Aromas of pear, green apple and white blossoms give way to a palate showing peach flesh, ripe lime and a gentle hint of sweetness balanced by racy acidity and a chalky mineral streak. With just enough residual sugar to feel round but never heavy, this wine is incredibly versatile, equally suited to spicy dishes, creamy pastas or a relaxed summer evening.
Its predecessor, the 2023 vintage, was awarded 92 points by James Suckling and received a Silver medal at the San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition—setting high expectations that the 2024 continues to meet and exceed.
